Terms of Service

BookSnap is a book summary platform operated by Absolute Solutions, a company registered in Tanzania. The service provides AI-generated summaries of published books, a reading interface, community discussion features, and affiliate links to purchase full books.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use BookSnap. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

You must not use BookSnap if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable laws in your country of residence.

To access certain features (reading progress, comments, library), you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use at legal@absolutesolutions.co.tz

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for more than 24 months, or are used for fraudulent purposes.

You agree not to use BookSnap to:

• Post comments that are abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or discriminatory
• Share spam, misleading information, or unsolicited commercial messages
• Attempt to access, scrape, or copy book content in bulk for redistribution
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract AI prompts from the service
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity

Violations may result in immediate account suspension. Serious violations may be reported to appropriate authorities.

The AI-generated summaries on BookSnap are transformative works created by Absolute Solutions. They are not a substitute for the original books and are designed to complement, not replace, the author's work.

All original book titles, author names, and cover imagery remain the intellectual property of their respective rights holders. BookSnap does not claim ownership of original book content.

The BookSnap platform, interface, summary content, and branding are owned by Absolute Solutions and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce or distribute them without written permission.

You retain ownership of comments you post on BookSnap. By posting, you grant Absolute Solutions a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and moderate your comments within the platform.

We reserve the right to remove any comment that violates our community guidelines (Section 4) without notice. Comments flagged by our AI moderation system are reviewed by our team before permanent removal.

Comments may be edited by you within 15 minutes of posting. After this window, comments are permanent unless removed by moderation.

BookSnap contains affiliate links to retailers where you can purchase full books. When you click these links and make a purchase, Absolute Solutions may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not influence which books are summarised or the content of summaries. All summaries are produced based on editorial merit.

We disclose this relationship in compliance with applicable consumer protection and advertising standards regulations.

We aim to keep BookSnap available 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice, for maintenance, upgrades, or business reasons.

We are not liable for any loss resulting from planned or unplanned downtime.

BookSnap is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• Book summaries are 100% accurate or complete representations of the original work
• The service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses
• Any content on the platform constitutes professional, legal, financial, or medical advice

To the fullest extent permitted by Tanzanian law, Absolute Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of BookSnap, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or TZS 10,000 if you have not made any payments).

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of BookSnap shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use ofBookSnap after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree with updated Terms, you must stop using the service and may request account deletion.
